Details: The Museum, Gallery and Archives Service is entering an exciting new phase of development and is looking to build its team of committed and enthusiastic staff in order to continue developing its services, in line with Council priorities. Through provision of high quality exhibitions, activities and excellent customer care, we are building our audiences to reflect the communities of Waltham Forest, and the wider significance of the collections at the William Morris Gallery.
The internationally renowned William Morris Gallery, the local history museum, Vestry House Museum, the Waltham Forest Archives and Local Studies Library provide educational, informational and historical local resources in a multicultural environment, delivering a range of activities to a diverse audience.

£23,664 - £25,128 per annum inclusive plus weekend enhancement
36 hours per week
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team to create engaging permanent and temporary exhibitions at the William Morris Gallery and Vestry House Museum and other venues as required. You will also have a key role within the team to ensure effective collections management for the Gallery and Museum, which is an essential part of our overall development plans.
If you have a creative and imaginative approach and relevant experience of exhibitions and collections, then we would like to hear from you. A knowledge of William Morris and the Arts and Crafts Movement is desirable.

To support our exciting development plans, we are keen to maximise our income generation opportunities. We are looking for an individual with experience of planning and implementing effective income generation and fundraising initiatives. You will have experience of applying for grants, securing sponsorship, individual giving campaigns and events management.
