The Friends of William Morris Gallery are having a Christmas Party at the Gallery and all fans are welcome.
The Gallery will be open from 7.00pm and the evening will begin with a talk by Lynne Hulse, followed by food and drinks:
Lynn Hulse is the archivist of the Royal School of Needlework and joint-editor of Text, the journal of the Textile Society. Her lecture, “From Rounton Grange to Wightwick Manor: Edward Burne-Jones and embroidery”, will explore the embroideries designed by or based on the paintings of Edward Burne-Jones that were produced by Morris & Co and the Royal School of Art Needlework during the artist’s lifetime and in the decade following his death.
